Grace B.A., Lic Ac., M.Ak.
Bryan’s
experience and studies of different healing modalities is
extensive. He is passionate about helping people regain
their health and has boundless energy to do this.
After a
successful career in the business world, he studied
Traditional Acupuncture at the Royal Leamington Spa in
England, and qualified in 1987.
Until moving
to Spain in 1998 he was a member of the UK Traditional
Acupuncture Society. Since 1987 he has studied two other
forms of acupuncture and a list of other healing modalities
including: Martial Arts and Jin Shin Do (Chinese
Acupressure) with Taoist Master Chee Soo. Chi Kung (Qigong)
with Master Lily Soo. Advanced Bio Magnetic Therapy at the
Foundation of Bio Magnetic Therapy founded by Dr J
Williams. Applied Kinesiology plus Functional Bio
Chemistry. This involves muscle testing, each muscles being
related to a specific organ, an acupuncture meridian, a
specific vertebrae, certain nutritional needs, etc. An AK examination can reveal
structural problems (muscles, bones ligaments) as well as
nutritional, energetic, or emotional imbalances.
Bryan lives
with his grown up daughter Molly in a converted farmhouse
which he has transformed into the Tao Centre. The Centre is
a mile above the famous small spa town of Lanjarón in
Andalucía, known for its healing mineral waters. Lanjarón
is just 45 minutes from Granada. Bryan and Molly share their home with a stubborn
dog, and have three horses which graze on the beautiful
land surrounding their property.
The Tao
Centre enjoys stunning views northwards to the Sierra
Nevada Mountains, and southwards towards the Mediterranean
and Morocco. Year round, fabulous sunsets often fill the
evening sky; summers are very hot, spring and autumn almost
always sun filled, winters unpredictable but never cold for
long.
The Tao
Centre is located in a protected National Park which
encompasses old chestnut and eucalyptus forests with
ancient mule tracks meandering for miles, idyllic for
walking or riding.
Next phase
of the Tao Centre will be to include a Tao Guan. A Tao Guan
being a ‘Spiritual Retreat’ where ‘positive
endeavours can originate and flourish, being nurtured by an
environment including garden, a place of healing, herbaria
(a herb pharmacy) and a meditation room.
Bryan’s
personal interests include the study of Chinese Philosophy
(The Tao), Native American Medicine and History, a wide
spectrum Natural Healing and Personal Growth. |
